Any tips on whether or not to sell my CD collection?
Got a couple of hundred CD's i'm not too fussed with keeping so thought I'd sell 'em. Anyone got any thoughts on whether or not it would be worth keeping the rarer ones (i have one or two that are a bit special and hard to come by)? Figured that CD's are 2 a penny these days but wondered if there's anyone out there that has any clues as to if CD's will be collectable in the future?
I think just like with vinyl, they will go through a period of being just about worthless, and then eventually they may come back as being collectioble, but like with vinyl; only certain artists and albums.
I'm keeping mine, but then I still have a ton of vinyl too (being a former DJ).
If you don't listen to them, I say sell them now, as if they do ever become collectible, that is certainly 10 or more years from now.
