2011 One Cent Penny:
Obverse: “Lincoln” (Victor D. Brenner-Designer and Scupture/engraver)
Reverse: “Preservation of the Union” (Designer – Lyndall Bass; Sculptor/Engraver – Joseph Menna)
I received my 2011 US Mint Proof set yesterday…all the coins look great…wish they were real Silver though.

Nice overview of US coins, Greg. This is good for people to know because sometimes you get some of this stuff as change in day to day transactions. Especially the Roosevelt dimes and Washington quarters because they look similar to current common coins. Check your pockets & piggy banks! It is “found money”. :)

Nickel was used in armor plating and was in short supply during WWII
